Booking your house removals
We’d love to help you move home! The first step for most clients is to call us and arrange for our surveyor to visit you. We will then get a quoted emailed to you swiftly. You may prefer to initially fill in our short online form to get an estimate and we will aim to get an estimated cost for your move to you asap.
Once you have received your quotation please call us to secure the date and complete the booking over the phone. Please remember that we book clients on a first come first served basis and we can sometimes be booked up 2 – 3 weeks in advance during peak times of the year.
As members of the British Association of Removers, payments made to us are covered by their advance payment guarantee and removals services are paid for at the point of booking. When your booking has been confirmed we will send you a receipt which will confirm date(s) and times for your move, please check this carefully. We will also need you to return the completed quotation acceptance form prior to the move commencing.
Remember, our admin team are at your disposal from 9am – 5pm, Monday – Friday each day (exc. bank hols). So, if there is anything at all we can do for you please do not hesitate to call or email us for our immediate attention.
The moving day
It is essential that you secure suitable parking space for our vehicle(s) either by speaking to your neighbours or arranging dispensation from the council as required. It will reduce loading/unloading time if we can park immediately outside the property we are working in.
We will arrive on the agreed date(s) at the agreed time(s) and set about the task of moving your home furniture and contents to your new home or to our storage facility if required. We are sure that you will find our removals team to be careful, helpful and polite at all times. Each crew has a team leader and he or she will be your main point of contact during the move. Furniture will be blanket wrapped as its loaded and additional protection will be used as required.
Once loading is complete we will ask you to check the property and sign our waybill to confirm that nothing has been taken or left behind in error. At the end of the move, we will ask you to sign off again to confirm that we have completed the move as contracted. We will also ask you to rate the service provided as we closely monitor our performance and client feedback really is essential to us.
Specialist services
Our wealth of experience means that we are able to handle pianos of all types and sizes and antiques with the care, consideration and expertise.
If access is an issue we will look to find a solution. This could be as simple as dismantling and rebuilding furniture or having a window removed or more complex, such as arranging hire of a mechanical lifting platform or crane to gain access.
For delicate items of furniture and for overseas moves we offer a full export wrapping service.
If you need an item disposed of just let us know and we can arrange this too.
One thing that is often overlooked is changing the locks at your new property. Although we do not do this ourselves, we have an arrangement with a fantastic and well-established lock smiths that service North London and are happy to give our clients a 10% discount.
Enjoy your new home!
Once you’ve unpacked, if you’ve remained fairly local to us, please call us to arrange for us collect your boxes. If you’ve moved outside the area that we service we can usually arrange for a firm local to you to collect them (its always good to recycle them where possible). Once the boxes are gone you can really enjoy your new home!
Please remember that we are always happy to hear from you and to help you in any way we can in the future. Perhaps you’ll need to store some pieces to make space for a party or building work in the future? Or, if your friends or family need our services in any way please be sure to give us a call.

Benefits of our House Removals service

Packing options
Packing and preparation is key to a successful move. We offer clients 3 options for packing.
(1) If you wish to pack your own belongings, we can loan boxes and supply tape free of charge. We can also supply bubble wrap and packing paper at cost.
(2) If you’d like us to pack part of the move just let us know. Many clients will ask us to pack the fragile items whilst they pack the non-fragile items or perhaps you’d like us to pack the kitchen only? Just let us know.
(3) We also offer a full packing option where we will pack the entire contents of your home with care and consideration.
Storage between house moves
Our hassle-free containerised storage is the perfect solution if there is a waiting period of time before moving into your new house. If you are selling your home, moving to a rented property or downsizing, you may need to put your belongings into our secure storage warehouse for a while. We can collect, move, store and re-deliver your items at any time for a very competitive price.
Changing the locks
Many people forget to change the locks to their new home when moving, so we like to remind our clients that this is always a sensible precaution to take. We can not change the locks for you, but we do recommend an excellent locksmith if you are moving to a home in London. All of our clients benefit from discounted rates. We have recommended them for many years, and we have always had great feedback. Ask us for details when booking your move.
Decluttering your house before the moving day
If you are selling a home and wish to get the maximum sale price, the tidiness of your house will impress possible buyers. Our home decluttering services are also convenient when you are moving to a new property as it can reduce the number of items to move and helps on a fresh start.
Dismantling service
Some items of furniture may need to be dismantled and rebuilt during the move. We are well practised at this and can carry out this service to the best of our ability. Typically we will dismantle and rebuild beds, wardrobes and dining tables when necessary. Many clients have more complex items such as grand pianos and trampolines (these are increasingly popular), and we are more than happy to dismantle and rebuild these items too.
Disposal of unwanted items or delivery to charities
We are often asked by clients if we can dispose of unwanted goods and we are more than happy to help. We use registered waste carriers and dispose at commercial, licenced disposal sites locally. However, if the goods are saleable we prefer to deliver them to local charities. If you need to dispose of goods unwanted furniture please do not hesitate to ask us to do this during the house removals process.
