The peaceful tranquillity of Hampstead Heath is to the North and the vibrant hubbub of Camden to the south… and in the middle? Kentish Town!
Living in Kentish Town is perfectly balanced between Friday night fun and Sunday strolls. That isn’t to say that living there means you have to ship off to surrounding areas for a good time, Kentish Town has its own plethora of highlights!
Kentish Town is an ideal place for new parents who want a chilled family-friendly community for their kids and a dynamic, eclectic area for themselves.
The Bull and Last is another listed building getting the latter part of its name in the 19th Century – as it was the most northern pub (therefore the last) on the road out of London. Now turned into a delightful gastropub both baby and dog-friendly, The Bull and Last it’s always full to the brim.

Of course, Hampstead Heath is the obvious choice for some time outside, but there is more than just the heath itself. There’s Parliament Hill Lido open every day, for those who like a winter swim, sports fields, athletic tracks and playgrounds, plus a zoo! Hampstead Heath has some of the highest points in London so your views can extend for miles, escaping the city but still being able to admire its glory.

With the surge in house prices in recent years, Kentish Town is a surprising little gem. Schools with very high-grade scores, rich in culture and history, big community spirit with a great emphasis on independent businesses and Jon Snow on their former resident’s list. What more could you want?
Excellent transport links
The rest of London is not far out of your reach with excellent transport links. Two Overground lines mean you’re one ride away from East and South West London. The Northern line trains to Luton airport and copious amounts of busses to Central means you won’t be left waiting at stations.
We’re moving to Kentish Town from a more remote part of North London – can you still help?
It depends, but if that location is in North London, the answer is most probably a yes. We’ve been helping people move around the whole North London area for over 103 years and as London has expanded during that time, so has our coverage.
We believe that it’s the perfect area to cover with our service – big enough and complex enough to be of real value for our clients, but also small enough that we’ve managed to learn the ins and outs of the area incredibly well.
If you’d like to find out for certain if we can help you move from your current area to Kentish Town (or vice versa,) then you can reach out to get an estimate. This way we can give you a more complete answer, along with a more complete idea of how much it might cost. There are several ways of getting a quote, including filling in our online form, requesting a video survey, or giving us a call on 020 8888 5156.
The parking situation in Kentish Town is tricky – is this going to be a problem?
Many of the side roads in the area, not to mention Kentish Town Road itself, are tricky to park on. That’s part of the reality of living in a busy city like London – it’s what comes with the rest of the bustling urban experience. Luckily, we have lots of experience dealing with all sorts of access issues, and it’s never an insurmountable problem.
It’s possible that there are parking restrictions in your area, and that you’ll need to apply to have them temporarily suspended outside your house on the day of the move. We’ve provided a link to all the appropriate councils on our website, and if you need further assistance, you can give us a call so that we can walk you through the process.
What do I need to prepare for moving day?
We’re here to try to make your moving day as easy as possible, so it’s more a question of what can we help you prepare with. All that we need is for you to let us know what we can do to help – we can be as involved or uninvolved in the process as you require. That could mean that we just help you move your big bits of furniture and boxes of stuff on the day, or it could mean that you’d like help boxing up all your belongings as well.
What if my moving in and moving out dates don’t line up, what will I do with my belongings?
Often, the dates of a move don’t line up perfectly. We realised a long time ago that integrating our removals service with a storage service would be a perfect way of helping with that common issue, so if you need, we can store your belongings between the dates that you move out and move in. We can pick everything up from your old home, and then drop it off at the new home when you’re ready.
